Graduates expect flexible benefits at work
Flexible benefits at work are in high demand among this year''s crop of university graduates, a new study has found.
According to Orange, 69 per cent of university leavers consider the option to work flexibly very important.
Meanwhile, more than half of those polled said they expect flexible benefits such as working outside of regular office hours to be standard when they start in their new role.
Max Taylor, director of corporate marketing at Orange, commented: "Enabling this type of working for the new generation of employees coming into the workplace can be a real asset to businesses."
Indeed, he said they know the "ins and outs" of mobile technology and should be able to use their skills and knowledge to aid their work.
He added that recent graduates are more digitally savvy than those who left university five to ten years ago.
This comes after the Trades Union Congress stated that flexible benefits can improve staff retention rates and productivity within a company.
