Entertainment rewards as part of benefits packages ''work best for employees''
Employees appreciate rewards connected to entertainment in times of stress, an expert has said.
As part of an employee''s flexible benefits package, employers should offer incentivised trips to sporting events and concerts, according to Andrew Hodgkins, acting managing director at Keith Prowse.
With the Wimbledon tennis tournament starting this week, Mr Hodgkins said such events were great incentives and really helped to increase employee motivation.
"Entertaining is a tried and trusted method of incentivising and rewarding employees for the hard work they put in day after day," he noted.
Mr Hodgkins also said that these types of outings helped to reduce stress and thus made staff more productive, while top performing employees should be treated to fine dining and other perks.
The Wimbledon championships began yesterday (June 21st) and very nearly saw top seed Roger Federer knocked out in the first round, although he eventually won in five sets.
