Graduates should ''start early to establish employer of choice''
The relationship between graduates and potential employers should start as early as possible in order to beat the competition this summer, according to an online recruitment community site.
HireScores.com says those graduating this summer should look to take advantage of summer placements and internships as they seek to identify their employer of choice after finishing university.
Competition in the job market is intense and Lisette Howlett, founder of the site, says employers are currently looking for those who require very little training, as this is an extra expense.
Work placements in the financial sector have helped many to secure employment, she adds.
"Whereas many of last year''s graduates struggled to find jobs, those graduating this year and looking for a financial services job appear to have pretty much all secured employment," she says.
Top employers from all sectors of industry will be exhibiting at the Summer Graduate Fair at Earls Court in London on June 9th and 10th.
