The first benefit to go live using the You at Work API is salary sacrifice mobile phones. Employees who access this benefit via You at Work now benefit from a seamless link between the You at Work flex platform and the Vodafone shopping experience. Vodafone rates are selected on the Vodafone website and automatically populated in the You at Work flex system. Without the You at Work API users need to write down the phone package they want and then go back into their flex selection, creating a risk that they enter the wrong details and, therefore, end up with the wrong payroll data.
The You at Work API enables external providers to host their own extensions to interact with the You at Work benefit system by using secure internet protocols to interface between the You at Work benefit selections page and the external provider page. The benefit from an employee user’s point of view is a seamless journey through their benefits selection.
