Philips rebrands flexible benefits plan
Philips, the electronics giant, has rebranded its flexible benefits plan for its 2,300 UK employees in an attempt to reflect changes to the structure of its business.
Known as Identity, the new scheme features the tagline ''It''s all about you'' and is mainly to reflect the new organisational set-up of the company, which was simplified into three sectors - healthcare, lighting and consumer lifestyle in January 2008.
Subsidised gym membership has been added to the scheme and staff were told of the changes via posters, email and brochures, Employee Benefits reports.
Nina Platt, reward manager for the UK and Ireland and South Africa, told the news provider: "In the present economic climate, we did not have additional cash to put into the scheme, but we felt it needed a fresh, new look because it was eight years old.
"In that times Philips has changed enormously. The old branding we had on our flex scheme was not really consistent with the organisation we are now."
Regularly scrutinising flexible benefits packages can help to ensure that a firm retains its brightest and best by offering competitive perks.
