Irish Life launches voluntary benefits plan
Irish Life, the financial services company, has launched a voluntary benefits plan after a successful roll out of a pilot scheme last year.
Known as Irish Life Flex, the plan will be offered to 340 staff in the company''s corporate business division and it will allow employees to buy a range of benefits including dental, travel and private medical insurances as well as retail vouchers, Employee Benefits reports.
Bernie O''Brien, manager of Irish life''s corporate business HR, told the news provider: "We ran a survey last year and found out what people felt about which benefits they wanted."
As it stands, the firm offers core benefits such as a pension and life assurance although some 45 per cent of employees have taken up at least one benefit through the new voluntary benefits plan.
Last month, Stagecoach launched a voluntary health screening programme for employees in its bus division with more than three years service under their belts.
